The PA Working Families Party seeks a dedicated Fundraising Director to work directly with endorsed Working Families candidates and electeds in Pennsylvania. They will work alongside the Mid-Atlantic Director of Candidate Fundraising in supporting the yearly execution of the PA WFP PAC fundraising plan and will help maintain the overall health and growth of the Pennsylvania donor database.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Candidate Fundraising Department supports our priority candidates on an as-needed basis (our candidates require varying levels of support from our department during different campaign cycles). You will assist the Mid-Atlantic Director of Candidate Fundraising in assessing the needs of our priority PA candidates and utilize your knowledge of campaign fundraising to execute strong support plans and programs.
  • For this position in particular, you will be expected to take on the part-time maintenance role of Finance Director for two existing PA candidates who require more long-term support. These responsibilities include call-time staffing (virtual and in-person), executing high and low-dollar fundraising events, monitoring PAC requests (while providing timely follow-up), overseeing the digital raise plan, and maintenance of the campaign budget.
  • Pennsylvania PAC Raising | 50%
  • The PA Candidate Fundraising Director will work alongside the Mid-Atlantic Director of Candidate Fundraising to execute the annual PA WFP PAC fundraising plan (which comprises multiple raise channels). Duties include planning and staffing surrogate call time sessions, managing a portfolio of PA donors, supporting high and low-dollar fundraising events, generating innovative digital raise strategies, and overseeing our yearly party building week.
  • Development Research & Database Management | 5%
  • The PA Candidate Fundraising Director will dedicate time each week to assisting with the maintenance of donor data and donor prospecting data that candidates and the PA WFP PAC will utilize in our outreach. This includes donor research, data appends, ideas for list swaps, and more. The financial goal of the Candidate Fundraising Director position is to help raise 100k in PAC funds annually.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Commitment to the election of progressive candidates.
  • 3+ years of political fundraising experience; one cycle as a campaign finance director required.
  • Thorough knowledge of campaign finance operations, including call time and event raising, PAC and digital oversight, finance committee and budget management, and compliance support.
  • The ability to set fundraising targets and develop action plans to achieve them; conduct ongoing analysis of fundraising performance, track key metrics, and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Experience using ActBlue, NGP, Pingdex, Numero, P2P Platforms, Excel, and Google Drive.
  • The ability to travel within Pennsylvania; staffing of fundraising events is required.
  • The ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced environment; a willingness to work outside of typical business hours, including some nights and weekends if needed.
  • The ability to professionally interact with stakeholders, donors, and candidates while using savvy political judgment.
  • A demonstrated understanding of long-term donor stewardship; existing donor relationships are a plus.
  • Self-motivation, professionalism, and a positive demeanor.
  • The ability to demonstrate multicultural competence; the awareness, knowledge, and skills needed to work with others who are culturally different from self in meaningful, relevant, and productive ways.
  • Personal and professional commitment to promoting and investing in cross-cultural skills and awareness related to individuals from broad backgrounds, races, ethnicities, religions, genders, sexual orientations, gender identities, and disabilities.

What Else You Should Know:

  • Compensation: The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000. The final salary will be determined based on an internal equitable scale that considers years of experience, geographic location, and final job description.   • Union Affiliation: WFP is a unionized workplace. This is a nonmanagerial role eligible to join WFP's staff bargaining unit after six months of employment. WFP's union employees are represented by the New York Metropolitan Area Joint Board, Workers United Union.
