Faith in Public Life
Position Location: Georgia; work from home but requires regular in state travel and occasional out of state travel.
Salary Range: $75,000-$80,000 Full time with benefits
About Faith in Public Life: Faith in Public Life (FPL) and Faith in Public Life Action (FPLAF), our sister organization,is a national campaign taking on the leading moral issues of our time-- racial and economic equity, voting rights, movement of clergy and faith leaders united in the prophetic pursuit of justice, equity, and the common good. Together, we are leading the fight to advance just policies locally, at state, and federal levels. Our network of faith leaders engages in bold moral action that affirms our values and the human dignity of all. We envision a country in which an experience of spiritual connection binds all people with one another and in which a sense of belonging in community gives every individual the confidence that their human rights are held sacred, making it possible for all to thrive.
Responsibilities: 60% Organizing and Campaigns

- Work collaboratively with the FPL/A Organizing Team.
- Organize and mobilize faith leaders in Georgia to speak and act on FPL/A’s strategic priorities.
- Lead a diverse statewide coalition and develop relationships with influential faith leaders.
- Build trust and engagement with ecosystem partners in achieving FPL/A’s strategic priorities.
- Coordinate and collaborate with statewide coalition tables.
20% Communications
- Identify and contribute to media opportunities in collaboration with the FPL/A Communications team in order to amplify faith leaders’ voices that promote FPL/A’s strategic priorities.

- Plan and lead public-facing events, such as press conferences, vigils, rallies, marches, direct actions, community forums, listening sessions, table meetings, and more to engage key Georgia faith leaders.
- Lead statewide rapid response work by working with the communications team.
10% Leadership Development

- Work collaboratively with other FPL/A teams, including Communications, Policy, Development, and Operations.
- Create and sustain ways of working that are rooted in FPL/A’s DEIA framework.
- Be an active contributor to organizational strategy.
- Document and report out regularly on ongoing work, maintain contact lists in Salesforce, and contribute to internal evaluation processes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to gain the skills and knowledge that will support your work with FPL/A.
10% Impact Tracking
- Contribute to funder calls, reports and proposals related to FPL/A’s work in Georgia.
- Collect impact stories and data so that the story of FPL/A’s impact can be shared widely.
- Participate in regular evaluation of our collective work in order to understand impact, adapt to a changing landscape, and test new ideas.

Qualifications:
- At least 5 years experience working in faith based or community organizing, issue advocacy, digital organizing, communications or political campaigns.
- An organizer mindset. Innate ability to quickly connect with people and spur them to action.
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communications skills.
- Willing to take risks in building relationships and unconventional alliances.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Collaborative team player, can-do attitude, and professionalism under pressure.
- Experience working with faith communities is preferred while willingness to work with faith leaders from many traditions is required.
- Appreciation for and belief in the faith community’s contribution to social justice and the common good.
- Commitment to racial equity, social justice and inclusion.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, reliable access to an insured vehicle, and a good driving record.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a generous and comprehensive benefits package including full medical, dental and vision premium coverage, life insurance, and an FSA/DCA savings plan. We also offer an up to 6% 403b plan contribution and stipends for work-related mobile phone and internet use, and professional development. We provide 15 paid vacation days, 10 paid sick days, 13 paid federal holidays, and additional paid leave, including the week between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Day.
