Position Description: Faith in Public Life is seeking a fellow for a one-year position to provide administrative, logistical and data organizing assistance as we build and mobilize our national coalition of influential faith leaders. The position is primarily remote, with the requirement of working in the Washington, DC, office one day weekly to align with the supervisor for this position. Job Responsibilities:

  • National Mapping Project:
    • Organize and update the tracking of data about 700+ faith leaders/influencers collected by the project researcher
    • Schedule follow-up interviews for qualitative vetting for mapping purposes; organize and maintain notes from these interviews; and track follow-up

    • Support the logistical coordination and communication of coalition monthly meetings, special convenings and activities of coalition members
    • Conduct administrative prep, follow-up and recordkeeping pertaining to membership and activities of coalition members

Other duties will be assigned as these projects evolve and additional needs are identified.

Job Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have many, though not necessarily all, of the following skills and experiences:

  • Ability to sift through data and ascertain what is relevant, with great attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully work independently (with support and guidance)
  • Track and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to keep large amounts of data clean and organized
  • Ability to communicate effectively and easily with a diverse spectrum of faith leaders

Approach to the Job:

  • High volume, high efficiency: We’re pretty busy here, and your job is to make it easy for our team members to do their jobs. You maintain systems for keeping tasks from slipping through the cracks, while also coaching your team to do the same. You’re able to juggle competing demands and prioritize without sacrificing quality. You get back to people in a timely manner and take pride in providing clear, helpful information.
  • Ownership and resilience: You care deeply about getting results. You gather information, seek input, and drive work forward to the finish line. You think 3 (or 30) steps ahead to develop solutions, anticipate problems, and course-correct when needed. You hold a high bar even when things are hectic and bounce back from setbacks by turning each hurdle into a learning opportunity.
