About our organization:
Democracy Works is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that collaborates with election officials, leading tech platforms, and world-class partners to drive voter access and participation. We help Americans vote by providing reliable, useful voting guidance through the sites, apps and groups they trust. This includes TurboVote, Democracy Works Election Data, the Voting Information Project, and Ballot Scout. We also co-founded the Civic Alliance alongside the CAA Foundation. Democracy Works is committed to diversity and inclusion in everything we do and aspires to have a team that's representative of the voters we serve.
The impact you’ll make:
The Civic Alliance is America’s largest nonpartisan network of 1,300+ businesses united by a commitment to our democracy, employing more than 5.8 million people in the U.S. and reaching virtually every American consumer. The Civic Alliance equips members with nonpartisan resources and workplace policies to empower civic participation.
Founded in 2020 by Democracy Works and the CAA Foundation, the Civic Alliance supports member companies ranging from Microsoft to Target to small businesses. Our resources, toolkits, (mostly virtual) events, and coaching help businesses of all sizes and industries build powerful civic engagement programs - which can include creating a time off to vote policy, educating employees and customers on how to vote, providing guidance on how to host a polling place, aligning company values with civic norms, and more. Review our Corporate Civic Playbook for best practices and case studies.
