About our organization:

Democracy Works is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that collaborates with election officials, leading tech platforms, and world-class partners to drive voter access and participation. We help Americans vote by providing reliable, useful voting guidance through the sites, apps and groups they trust. This includes TurboVote, Democracy Works Election Data, the Voting Information Project (VIP), and Ballot Scout. We also co-founded the Civic Alliance alongside the CAA Foundation. Democracy Works is committed to diversity and inclusion in everything we do and aspires to have a team that's representative of the voters we serve.

The impact you’ll make:

The Partnerships team at Democracy Works recruits and supports organizations that use our products and services to get their audiences engaged and participating in all of their elections. The Partnerships team serves as the connective tissue between the Democracy Works team and TurboVote partners, Civic Alliance member companies, and Elections API customers.

You’ll support our outreach efforts and partner engagement strategy, ensuring organizations have the resources and support they need to implement our offerings and leverage our resources to increase voter engagement and participation.

As an Intern, you will:

  • Learn about the civic technology and voter engagement landscapes
  • Conduct research to discover potential new partners, contacts, and opportunities
  • Support the team in drafting external communications with partners and creating resources to support voter engagement work in their communities
  • Maintain partner records and tracking documents using Google Workspace and Salesforce

You are someone with:

  • Curious and ready to ask questions
  • Organized and attentive to detail
  • A strong written and verbal communicator
