Skills you will build and work you will be involved in:
Volunteer organizing and engagement, including community events, phonebanks, and letter-writing campaigns
Supporting mobilization efforts around legislative developments
Drafting communications to volunteers and supporters (emails, action alerts, and recruitment messages)
Tracking and summarizing committee hearings, floor debates, and key bills
Assisting with coalition meetings to better understand the political landscape
Event planning and execution with the Program Director
Policy analysis, script writing, and external/internal communications
Qualifications:
- A passion for learning about elections, organizing, and the legislative process
- A desire and an ability to work in a non-partisan manner
- A willingness to build your organizational skills and attention to detail
- A willingness to build your writing and listening skills
- A willingness to learn new skills
