We are looking for a collaborative Talent Acquisition Manager to join our People, Equity & Inclusion team here at Common Cause, to support the continued growth of our organization.
As our Talent Acquisition Manager, you will build strong pools of candidates and develop selection tools to run rigorous and efficient hiring processes to fill our open roles. You will also manage operations for our talent acquisition work to help us build stronger systems and processes, and you’ll collaborate with members of our team and other staff to drive strategic connections between our work and other priorities on our team.
This is a full-time, temporary role starting on January 16, 2025 – June 30, 2026. This role reports to the Director, Talent Acquisition, and is remote anywhere within the lower 48 United States.
Responsibilities
Manage searches so that we continue to build a strong staff at Common Cause
- Manage 3-4 searches at a time, collaborating with hiring managers, interviewers and other staff, and managing all communications with candidates
- Recruit strong and diverse pools of candidates to support your searches as well as other searches on our team
- Develop rigorous and equitable hiring tools to assess candidates, including competency aligned rubrics and interview questions
- Ensure searches stay on schedule and adjust for changes as needed
- Leverage data consistently to determine if changes are needed to an individual search as well as to our processes or systems
Manage the operations for our talent acquisition work
- Manage use of our talent acquisition tools and products, including our applicant tracking system (Lever), LinkedIn
- Develop and manage systems for standard use of hiring tools (for example, interview guides)
- In collaboration with our team, develop and roll out our employee value proposition
Contribute to our People, Equity & Inclusion team strategy
- Support implementation of aspects of our Collective Bargaining Agreement (for example, updating processes related to talent acquisition that are in line with our Agreement)
- Collaborate with other teammates to support strategic connections between our work and onboarding, performance management, and retention
- This position serves in a confidential capacity to hiring managers and executive leadership responsible for making decisions about staffing and labor relations strategies
- Other duties as assigned

The following is required:

  • Experience managing searches end-to-end, including sourcing and cultivating prospects, developing tools to assess candidates, and managing relationships with hiring managers
  • Experience managing searches in an applicant tracking system; ideally, with Lever
  • Ideally, you have experience developing an employee value proposition
  • Ability to travel 4-6 times per year for team and/or all staff retreats
  • Per our nonpartisan policy, Common Cause staff members may not currently be in elected office (or running for office); on the Steering Committee or Finance Committee for any political candidate; or affiliated with the leadership of a political party
